Hi I am new to the Forums here and hope to help some people as well as find a few answers for myself.
Here is my problem. I have a Sony VAIO VGC-RB30 and it seem that a connection is overheating. I dont think a fan will help but it is where the P2 connector from the power supply goes into the Motherboard at a 4 pin connection. When it shuts down i just unplug the P2 from the board and blow on it a bit then plug it back in and turn back on the PC. The P2 connector has a plastic surrounding that is actually turned black from its original white color (due to heat I suppose). I think it might be the monitor supply or something since if i have it unpluged and start the PC the monitor doesnt come on. Can you please help me figure out what i need to do I have lost so much much work to it shutting off in the middle of a program. Thank you for anyhelp from anyone that wants to take the time to help figure this out with me I know its a pretty technical problem.
