with regard to screen size, mine is 15.4" and I find that adequate for what I want to do, I certainly would not want a smaller screen. You may prefer a bigger screen if you want to watch a lot of films. re battery, one hour isn't really a long time, you should find a laptop with a battery that lasts longer than that. I would think you'll find that these days hard drives in laptops have plenty of storage space, and they all seem to come with DVD RW so that won't put the price up.
