Linksys inability to locate my network

I have a Linksys wireless G router and three Linksys wireless G adapters on different Dell computers in my house, including laptops and desktops. Two computers run Vista and one runs XP. Everything works OK, except that on my computer (desktop/Vista), the system typically locates 4-5 networks in my area, but about half the time I boot up, it can't locate my own network. If I repeatedly ask the system to look for new networks, it sometimes finally locates my own network - and then it consistently has "very good" signal strength.
