Other than scanning or formatting there are really no other choices. How many gigs is it? Is there data on there that you can back up to another computer and then buy a new flashdisc to use?

When you say it is infected, how do you know.

If you need to format it follow that actual windows XP format instructions and just click on a different partition (the flash disc)
