Starcraft is a classic.
AoE 2 is always nice..
Get "N", it's a platform/puzzle/strategy game.. very addicting, I must say.
What about a SNES emulator? Super Mario and Donkey Kong baby! (sorry if I'm not supposed to mention that)
If you want to go reaaally old school, get Chips Challenge. Originally a Windows 95 program. I know it works on Vista.
