My new WD6400AKS shows up in "My Computer" and bios but is not recognized when trying to install Vista onto it, or trying to clone another HDD to it with Norton Ghost. I can move or copy files to it through explorer just fine though.

Any suggestions on what the problem might be? I've tried different cables, different ports on the mobo(Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L/S3L), a full format and a quick format.
