Yes,I guess that`s what happened.My intention was to install XP on a new drive,format and partition it with Partition Magic(uncompatible with Vista)and reinstall Vista into different partition.Drive came as OEM without any installation software.Notebook is MSI
PR-200,pretty decent with Vista Home Premium preloaded,Intel Core2 Duo,I already added 2 GB of memory to full 4 GB.OS and all partition settings are on recovery CD.MSI support did not answer,Newegg was not helpfull either(if you do not how to install it,return it).Grateful for any suggestion-Les
