I am receiving an Alert on bootup that my "System battery voltage is low." I understand that this is usually because my cmos battery needs to be replaced. So I popped the old one out and put a new CR2032 in it's place. And for some reason I am still getting the same message.

Also, even more frustrating, is the fact that after I power off my system (having pressed f1 to bypass the error), I am unable to power it on again. Pushing the power button on the front of the system just simply does nothing. It seems the only way to get it working again is to unplug the power connector from the motherboard and plug it back in. Either that, or popping the battery out and putting it back in again. Once I do that, I can then press the power button and I am able to get back into the system, although I still receive the same battery voltage alert.

However, if I simply Restart the system, as opposed to powering off and then powering on again, it works without a hitch.

Any thoughts? I have a Dell Precision 380 Workstation.
