Mistake Problem installing program, not enough ram. Need advice

So I am trying to install adobe CS4 on my laptop (I'm getting a new computer around a year from now). However, it says I need service pack 3 (I'm downloading it right now), and 2Gb of ram. Right now I have 1.18 Gb. I have a Toshiba Satellite A65. After I install sp3, will it let me install even though I don't have 2Gb of ram, or will I need more? Also, if I have to buy more ram, I'm not sure what I can buy. I just got done looking on newegg.com, and all they had that was compatible with me laptop was 1Gb. Would I be able to buy 2 1Gb sticks of ram and install them on my laptop? I'm not too sure if I can install more then one stick. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
