However, when I go to certain web pages I do get the Internet Explorer has encountered a problem error and closes down.
You would probably be better served in our Internet Explorer Forum as they live for these error messages.

When you get the error message, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. Tell me what Program Name and Module Name is displayed.

Let's reset TeaTimer again. Follow my instructions again from post #6 above for resetting TeaTimer and disabling Spybot. Please keep it disabled until we are done.

Remember to accept changes if prompted.

------------------------------------------------------

Go Start > Run and copy/paste the following single-line command into the Run box and click OK:

sc stop Lpnae_ea

Go Start > Run and copy/paste the following single-line command into the Run box and click OK:

sc delete Lpnae_ea

Open HijackThis and click on 'Do a System Scan Only'. Check the following entries if they still exist: (Make sure you do not miss any)

O2 - BHO: AVG Safe Search - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - (no file)

Please remember to close all other windows, including browsers then click Fix checked.

Click 'Scan' and then 'Save log' and post the log here.

Please close HijackThis now.
