The DOS mode test might be best at this point. Let me ask you, with both those disks only in the computer (unplug the IDE for now), is there any way you can get in to safe mode? If you can, then do a system restore.
Can you see the drives in the bios?
Have you tried with using only one Sata disk and unplugging the other one? (that is assuming you don't have raid set up)
Also, if you can enter the bios setup menu, if there is a boot option for Hard Drive Priority, then make sure the drive you want to boot from is listed first.
