Windows will load it's own driver if no other driver is installed. Often Windows will use VGA Save to fire up your display and this is okay providing you only want standard resolutions. You can also force VGA mode by using the boot menu at startup (tap on F8 after POST) and select VGA mode.

I'm curious, tho' - why do you want to do this?
