Have not had any problems and have been using this setup since August 2003. It has proved to be a very good board.
Be sure you update your BIOS to v1017. See the ASUS website for their info. Very easy process; just follow the directions for flashing your BIOS. My board originally came with BIOS v1006.
I have 2 WD 60GB HDDs in a RAID 0 configuration with an ATI 128MB 9000 video card.
Once you step down one level in your choice of CPU, you should be OK.
