Help with network

Here is the situation,

My current setup is this:

Cable Modem -> Router(Netgear) -> 6 Computers (Wireless)

I need 1 computer to have a Static(Persistant) IP.

I am currently issued 2 Static(Persistant) IP's.

So with this setup, can I do this and will it work?

Cable Modem -> HUB -> StaticIpComputer, Router -> 5 Computers (Wireless from Router)

Or does the Router need a Static IP as well.

The one computer with the static ip will be connected to by a server (multiple times throughout the day) elsewhere, that is why it needs a static ip.

Or should I use a Switch instead of a HUB.

(And yes, I can connect the computer with the Static IP by 5, or 5e ethernet cable.

Would this work?

Thanx
