I just put together my first build. The mobo has onboard graphics, and the computer runs great using that, but the barebone kit came with a GeForce 9600 that I am having some trouble with.

When I plug it in and give it power, my computer doesn't boot. I get no beep indicator from the mobo, and the monitor never comes out of sleep mode, but all the LEDs and fans come on. I don't think that the fans on the GPU come on, though.

I have plugged the monitor into both DVI slots on the card, and into the blue VGA slot on the mobo, but it never responds.

Let me know if I can provide any more information that would help anyone diagnose this. I should be responding to any replies promptly, although I am at work and the computer is at home.

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
Graphics: XFX GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB PCIe w/Dual Link DVI
