My System

Losing connection for 30 secs.

Hi, I have a problem which is a huge deal for me.
I'm on Virgin Media ISP 10mb connection, I've been with them for many years and have had few problems, once or twice the connection has been bad for about a month at a time, slow speeds, packet loss etc but they've fixed any problems in the past and it's back to 0 packet loss and full speed at all times.

However the last 3 weeks I've been getting disconnected from the internet, the lights are still as they are now on the modem though so my ISP says it must be on my end, but i haven't changes anything since it was perfect for so many months before this started.
It gos back on by it's self after about 30 seconds on unable to connect to webpages/game server and this happens about 5 times a day.
Please could anyone give me any advise on how I could try and work out what's causing this. I'm sure it's my ISPs fault but I haven't found anyone else with the same problems on ntl:hell.com or any other sites.
Also I'm only using Windows firewall and no router, new modem.
I felt this started happening when the nights got colder..
Many thanks
