My friend bought a Palit 4870 1gig Sonic Edition. Card was working fine and on the 7th day it cut the PC while playing Race D Grid. Switch pc on but did not respond. Pulled plug out wall after 5 min worked fine again.
Three days after that playing R D G again cut again but when he put it on it didnt respond again. Same story but this time when it powered up a bright orange glow came from the card And smoke !!!
(switched off Imediatley).
Took out the card and saw that ICE's were wer damaged seen on pic.
Any advise of what Happend ????
