Re: HP Printer not printing works files

Help, oh, help! I have a windows XP home edition Dell. Working fine, I use works 4.0 --worked just fine with an old printer. That printer died. After installing HP C5180, cannot print from my works files. I get an "Out of Memory" message. I certainly do have plenty of memory.
Yes, the old printer uninstalled first. HP gave me a disk to install the printer. The printer works with other programs, and in all other ways. It printes Word files. I prefer my Works and have databases on my Works.

I have a tech friend who logged onto my computer to try to help. He installed a 'pretend' printer to see what would happen, and we did not have this message come up when my computer thought this pretend printer was operative. But when we had to quit for the day and went back to my printer -- back comes the 'Out of Memory' message. Can anyone tell me how to fix this??
I see this problem mentioned in a few places, with no solution I can find.

I would be most grateful for any advice. mvbirdie
