HP Pavillion DV2000 Keeps shutting down during Windows XP Installation.

Good evening everyone,

I'm having the following trouble installing Windows XP SP2 on my Laptop.
HP Pavillion DV2000. The lap ran Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 previously.

I inserted the Windows XP Home Edition disc, it reformatted the hardrive, all appeared to have gone well. The computer rebooted, showed the Windows XP Logo and then proceeded to the blue screen showing the installation/configuration files.

At this point, the Laptop keeps shutting down. No error message, just keeps shutting down after it shows the file, folders and drivers in the left corner "installing Windows XP" and the lights are indicating everything is working well, it just keeps shutting off.

It indicates the following message: "Setup is being Restarted..........

Then it shuts off.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!
