My son has an Everex GC2500 desktop. We got it for him used about a year ago. From almost the beginning the CD Rom would work intermittently. Now the computer doesn't see it at all. The LED is lit constantly, but the tray won't open and it's not in device manager. I have opened the case to check the plugs and everything seems to be plugged in securely. Could the CD Rom drive just be bad or is there something else I can check?
