I have and sony vaio vgn fe41s running windows vista (32 bit) home premuim. I have been having mouse issues for a while now.
I purchased a new mouse a week or so ago, a microsoft intellimouse explorer 3.0.
I have installed the latest drivers for the mouse but for some reason the computer does not recognise the device.
In device manager in the Human Interface Devices (HID) drop down, it looks like everything has been installed correctly for the mouse as the properties all look very content. However under the Other Devices drop down I have a Unknown Device with an issue...

When I try to update the driver via the latest driver files (from the cd that come with the new mouse) I get...
