Re: Random BSODs, freezes, restarts and booting problems... 64-bit

My installed antivirus is AVG, I use the normal firewall that comes with Windows. I did a Panda system scan before I sent it into repair, but it didn't reveal anything as far as I can remember.

By the way, there is some updates to this thread. I don't know why but my thread split up. May be a good idea to keep this in one thread. The other thread is here: Random BSODs, freezes, restarts and booting problems... 64-bit

I will download the latest drivers, though about the graphic card driver. I've downloaded that from Zepto's own ftp-server from their folder for this PC. They don't publish drivers if they isn't working with their systems, so that would be weird. This is the driver I downloaded: ftp://ftp.zepto.dk/Notebooks/Mythos_..._Graphicscard/

Where can I download the older Nvidia-driver you mentioned btw? And another question, when installing drivers, should I first uninstall the old ones, or is this done automatically on Vista?

"Do a system wide search, registry search"
<-- Any specific programs I should use? Is AVG in safe mode enough?

In the other thread I mentioned I ask a question about the event viewer and I checked the device manager:
Before the PC got problems again I was in the device manager. It did show a warning listed under "Other devices" and named "Unknown device". No information about what device it could be was given. I unplugged the only thing connected, my USB mouse, to see if that solved the problem. Device manager updated, but the error was still there.

I have checked the event viewer and it shows a lot of errors or warnings at some times. I could export a file to you maybe? The problem is that it's written in norwegian, so you probarbly won't understand. Is there any way I can change the language in the event viewer to english?

I'm not home atm moment but will try to find out more when I get home.
