A KVM switch will work with 2 or more computers and One keyboard ,one mouse and ONLY ONE monitor as there is no provision on the switch to plug in a second monitor.
I have mine set up so that I can have one computer use dual monitor setup and the other single monitor by plugging the shared monitor into the KVM switch and the second monitor plugged into the second video adapter on the Computer that you want as dual monitor.
