When I started the PC it went into chkdsk:
Delete corrupt file segment 97996
Deleting an index entry from index $0 of file 25
Deleting index entry 15 in index $I30 of file 97957
recovering lost files.

I was in selective startup and deleted the combofix and hijackthis installers and ran ATFCleaner to remove them. I then set start up mode back to normal.

Once restarted I got an error message:
Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\tcukvwrd.dll the specified module could not be found.

I am using an old WindowsME laptop to get the programs you listed and transfer them with a thumb drive.

When I double click on combofix I get an error message:
error some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation.

I then have to ctrl-alt-del and stop the combofix exe process. I have attempted all three links and I get the same error each time.

I have to get back to work.
