I don't know how the thread split up, but for new readers, this is the original thread:

I have mentioned some of the hardware before. I can't check now since the PC began having problems again, when I was writing on the PC in Opera. I will post you the information as soon as possible. But can you please give me information about how I can gather all the info you need?
Before the PC got problems again I was in the device manager. It did show a warning listed under "Other devices" and named "Unknown device". No information about what device it could be was given. I unplugged the only thing connected, my USB mouse, to see if that solved the problem. Device manager updated, but the error was still there.
I have checked the event viewer and it shows a lot of errors or warnings at some times. I could export a file to you maybe? The problem is that it's written in norwegian, so you probarbly won't understand. Is there any way I can change the language in the event viewer to english?
I did receive a tip from another one today btw. To disable DEP because it's known to cause problems for some installations of Vista 64-bit. After I had disabled it I restarted the computer. When it was loading the desktop after the restart the screen turned black and the computer didn't react. No unexpected restart occured so I had to force it off.
When turning off and on again 10-15 minutes after the black screen came it didn't boot at all. I had to force it off again and then turned it on. Still a black screen.
I now unplugged the headset and USB-mouse plugged to the PC. But also this time no boot-up. Still a black screen, doing nothing. Even when waiting 15 minutes +/-.
I forced it off again and this time also took out the battery, now the computer booted up as usual again. It may be a coincidence, because 3 hours later when writing an reply to this thread in Opera, the system froze. I can't do anything. It's not responding at all. It was like that in 10 minutes before I forced it off.
Now it's back to the earlier problem, only a black screen no boot up. Have to force it off.
Unplugging the usb-mouse again, turning it on. Still a black screen ...
EDIT: I once more tried to boot up, but only a black screen.
I will try to find out more etc. when the PC is working again...
