Did you turn off your protection before installing the webcam, this is required.
Otherwise conflicts will arise with the software. Heres 2 online scans:

The online trojan scan can be run offline after it gets done downloading the databases
you will get a box to choose scan, choose deep scan, now you may disconnect yourline.
After scanning is done, remove your webcam (hardware and software), next
disable antivirus and antispyware protection, install the software and hardware,
reboot pc.
