The reason I asked for the
info.txt was to check the status of your firewall, security center is now reporting it as operational, which is in accord with your own experience.
Nothing in the Au log gives any indication as to why the tool failed to run, or quite what your update problems are.
Microsoft does free support for Update problems, I suggest you contact them as this is outside my area of expertise.

Sorry I can't get you the site addresses for US, as I'm in the UK I get re-directed to Microsoft UK sites whenever I try to search the Microsoft US site.
I don't see any signs of infection in your latest logs or anything Malware related that might explain your problems.
