Re: Infected with brastk.exe, wini10802.exe?

Updates problem not resolved yet.

I tried running AU check (now v78a), but I think it got stuck fairly early on (like after less than 30 seconds). I left it for an hour and could not detect any activity in Windows Task Manager so I ended it. I disconnected from the internet and turned off Internet Security Pro in case that might be interfering and ran AU check again, but same thing happened. I have pasted the progress log for you below (from the first attempt - second one did not include the last line below).

For good measure I tried downloading updates again anyway, and the same thing happened as before, lots of disk activity for about 10-15 minutes and the AU icon showing increasing % complete when I ran the mouse cursor over it, but at 33% progress it stopped. The Windows Update history/status shows the same error code as previously (0x80070001).

At the moment the Trend Micro Firewall seems have come back on again (when I reconnected to the internet and turned protection back on again after running AU check the second time).
