I don't usually have problems with my Vista 'puter. Sometimes it's slow, usually when there's an update running.

Have you run a full antivirus and anti-spyware?

I have heard that is is possible to install XP on most 32 bit Vista 'puters. You may have to search for drivers, but you should be able to find them.
