Basically i took the guts of my old computer and put them inside an Antec take 4 rackmountable case that came with a 650w powersupply (24 pin connector).
If it helps you can see the case here:

Everything stayed the same with the exception of the new powersupply that came with the antec case and i also installed a new heatsink.
When i plug it in and hit power, a motherboard light comes on , the antec fans and the heatsink fans also turn on. I am not hearing the cpu or harddrives begin to spin and no signal is getting to my monitor.
Now, my motherboard is an old gygabyte GA-k8u, the graphics card is a radeon 9100, and the cpu is a AMD 3400+. The motherboard itself only had a 20pin powersupply connector, while the new powersupply is a 24pin. It snapped in fine however, with the other 4 extra pins just not being connected.
Since nothing is booting up and im not hearing the HD's start up or seeing the bios, im assuming i either A. damaged the cpu somehow or B. the powersupply truly only works with 24 pin capable motherboard?
I am not sure hopefully you guys can help me figure it out. I can take pictures of my setup or give more info if it helps you guys
