I do not think that will work.
Your error code points to a hardware issue (corrupt drivers or failing hardware some where along the lines). The BSOD you get when you run the HP PC Recovery tells me this is more of a hardware issue than software, seeing the HP PC recovery partition should not be corrupted.
What issues were you experiencing before?
You stated driver issues,but was not specific.
Without getting into the mainboard I would:
Reseat the RAM
Test the RAM using Memtest86. (A link is under my signature)
Enter the BIOS and set it to the default setting.
Disconnect any external perivials you may have.
Check the harddrive using the Manufacture's Diagnostic utility and Windows Check disk utility. If no errors, try HP PC Recovery again.
If this does not work then I would see if it is covered under the warranty:
