Hi guys, new here, hope you can help me out.

Its like this. I was on my pc doing nothing in particular when everything went blank. Pc won't even reset or power down, i have to unplug it. Reboot and wont even post, evga 680i error code shows an 8 and what looks like a mirror flipped 9 which is not in the manual. After several tries still no post and the error code changed to 8E, which in the manual appears as reserved.

The weird thing is the pc still will not reset or even power down when pressing the power button, even the little one in the mobo, i have to unplug it after every try.

I tried resetting bios (with jumper and taking the battery for 1/2 an hour), trying one stick of Ram at a time, switched video cards, nothing.

I have a Zalman 9500 which has a speed knob, disabled it and plugged the fan directly, as apparently 8E code deals with CPU fan speed, but still nothing. Fan works well btw.

Sorry about the long post, im clueless here, any help?

If power and reset buttons still wont shut it off i have to unplug it after every try.

Im running a E6600 on Evga 680i. 8800GTS 512. PSU Ultra X Finity 2G 600watt. 4 1Gb RAM sticks
