Re: Random BSODs, freezes, restarts and booting problems... 64-bit
Do you know what's really weird? I have now had the PC running for many hours, no problems at all. I've actually had two long sessions now, played Half-life 2 and had fun. No bluescreens since the 17. october ... I think this is actually more irritating than when it behaves, because you can never know when a problem is around the corner ... But! When I tried to install Fifa 09 yesterday, the PC froze. No matter what I tried there was no way I could turn it off normally. So I suspect this is a hard drive issue?
Because, as I explained in a earlier post I was downloading the new BIOS the time before, and then it froze aswell. Still it would be a bit weird, if it's a hard drive issue, then I should notice it when reading files aswell ..?
Another thing I've done lately, which may have prevented bluescreens and boot up problems(?) is to start it up in safe mode if the PC turned off because of a problem, then restart it.
But this is really weird ... Sometimes it's lots of problems, some periods like today and yesterday is no problems at all. Can anyone explain to me how a problem can "decide" whether or not to show up?
I haven't updated the BIOS btw.
I haven't started up MSN on this PC the last days btw, maybe MSN in some weird way had something to do with the bluescreens? Apart from this and the things mentioned above, I cant remember anything else I've done differently on the computer.
