Re: Random BSODs, freezes, restarts and booting problems... 64-bit
Hmm. I've attached a .nfo-file in a zip-file in the second post dai, if that can help you. I don't know about the power supply, brand, wattage etc. (Because I need to look at the power supply itself to see that right?) and I don't want to open the notebook. I suppose it will be written under the computer maybe?
I have copied out what I think you need from the .nfo-file, but look into it yourself if you need something more of information you know is located there.
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, 2 kjerne(r), 2 logiske prosessor(er) (kjerner = cores and logiske = logical(?))
WSXGA+ 1680x1050 ZBD + NVIDIAŽ 9600M GT 512MB GDDR3
Mobile Intel(R) 45 Express Chipset Series PCI Express Root Port - 2A41
If you look at the .nfo-file and go into "Maskinvareressurser" then "Konflikter/deling" (conflicts/shared) you will see a large list, is that normal?
Btw, I've noticed something I think is strange. I went into the BIOS to check temperatures. But I only found a max temperature I could chose what should be, it was at 85 celcius. No other temperaturs. But maybe I missed something. Another thing, after a tip from a bluescreen I tried to disable memory caching. Someone said I could go into BIOS to do that. But I don't find it. I've tried to go everywhere in the BIOS I think, but can't find an option like that. And lastly, in the .nfo-file I found out that the BIOS is dated:
BIOS-versjon/-dato Ikke tilgjengelig A15H, 06.12.2005
"Ikke tilgjengelig" means "Not available". So the BIOS version information seems to be unavailable. In the date column it says 06.12-2005. Shouldn't this be a newer date? I mean, it's older than both Vista and the computer. Mythos A15 came from Zepto in August this year I think ... Is this normal or can it indicate that the BIOS-version isn't what it should be for this computer?
In the systemtype however it's written:
Systemtype: x64-based PC
So atleast it should be compatible with 64-bit.
Another thing I've noticed is that I've installed programs in the "Programfiler (x86)"-folder (program files (x86)), because that's been default when installing, but what's the difference on the "Programfiler"-folder and the "Programfiler x86"-folder. I have them both.
I will check if I can find voltages, temperatures etc. on a second try later today. Im back from school in 6 hours so I will post back shortly after that I hope.
