I think you might have to run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
Download is down the page a bit

Run the program and remove the entry ONLY for Adobe Acrobat.

If you use this utility to remove the Windows Installer configuration information for Adobe and you plan to reinstall the program, you should reinstall it in the same folder where you originally installed it. This prevents duplication of files on your hard disk.
