Re: I wanna upgrade but I dunno if it's compatible
I found your computer:
http://www.emachines.com/products/pr...tml?prod=T3410
but have no idea if an aftermarket motherboard will mount in the case.
The list you made for your 1st post is just about a whole computer. Going with your initial suggestions and expanding them a little, you need:
motherboard
CPU
PSU (eMachines OEM power supplies are NOTORIOUS for being weak)
RAM
GPU
case (if yours won't accept the new board)
{I hope someone that can answer the mobo mounting question jumps in at any time.}
Your keyboard, mouse, and hard drive will work if the new board accepts the same connections as your current components. Your monitor will work. The CD/DVD writer in your eMachines should work in a new case (if you need to buy one).
A 'barebones' computer might be the way to go, but they usually lack some key components (like the Operating System), and if you're not careful you'll end up with a not very desireable component or two included with the package.
I'm beginning to paint a pretty dismal picture, huh??

Have you scanned the RAM timings for Operator's Headspace?? Too much real estate between the audio collectors will prevent proper operation of your computer.......B.Lowe
