hi cunaguaro, welcome to tsf.
- Clearing the CMOS (and nothing)
put the jumper back on pins 1-2 properly?
for this mobo you usually press <del> to enter bios, but when cmos cleared then use
F1 key to setup bios first time.
- Removing 1 of the memory sticks (and nothing)
you have DDR2 ram so use the red sockets only, (the 2 sockets closest to cpu are DDR2 the other 2 are DDR1-cannot use both types at same time).
no beeps when no ram? did you connect a speaker to SPK1?
- removing the HD (and nothing)
leave disconnected till posting okay. disconnect all drives and extra cards (audio, ethernet, etc) and mouse-only keyboard, video, and ram needed for startup.
- made sure the board doesn't have contact with the chasis (it does not)
done the
bench test?
- made sure the CPU Fan is well fit on the board (not really sure, but it looks like it is pretty firm, and on the cpu)
dab of thermal paste on cpu prior to installing heatsink?

why was it broken?
need details for that psu make-n-model and/or the ratings from it's label.
edit:
just remembered, you have the 4-pin power connector on PWR2?
