I believe they can be replaced. I am just not sure of the location, probably somewhere at the bottom. To be sure get a service manual for procedure in removal and replacement (see
www.irisvista.com).
I think you can use any WiFi card as long as it fits the socket. Sadly some laptops do not allow this and would force you to get the original makers sell.
