well i'm kind of having this problem where i logged into a lab's computer (unix / sun) at school for the first time and when i gave me the choice between java and default behavior i choose default behavior and checked the don't show again message but instead of getting the normal desktop i got a desktop with a rectangular toolbar on the bottom??

how do i fix this the people in the lab tried using ctrl / shift /tab / ! but it did not work...

i'm kind of a newbie at this ... help?
