Constant BSOD and freezes

Hi everybody, this is my first post on the forum.

I'm looking for some help here with a problem I just can't find the way to solve.
I'll explain everything I've been experimenting with detais so maybe on one detail you can find a cause and maybe a suggestion for solution.

First, my computer is a laptop with 1GB RAM, 1.8Ghz Pentiun M processor. It's an ACER TravelMAte 4504.
The RAM is an upgrade I did last year, it's just one module.
Well, back then when I did my memory upgrade, I took out the two 512MB modules because I had many problems on one slot, like computer freezeing and stopping working and so on. I left the one GB module on the slot with no problems and laptop worked fine.
That was until last week when the problems started to appear without any apparent cause.
I started to have BSOD for different reasons mostly when I was running an application that consumes a lot of resources. Well, I only noted the BSOD appeared when that app was running.

Some day, after the BSOD, the chkdsk was running and I lost power and it was interrupted.

A day after that I perceived the BSOD were more frequent with different reasons. The thing then became completelly unnaceptable having BSOD on every restart after one, two, five minutes top.

My antivirus (bitdefender) kept telling me it was blocked some virus and then I realized I had NSAnti.H and after searching on the internet I read it could cause computer hangs, so I thought it may be the cause.
I then dedicated my efforts to eliminate the virus which was not easy due to the BSOD and not being able to be on win too much time.
I ran combofix, spywares and finally bitdefender and managed to clean the computer. (At least I think so since nothing appears on logs)

I thoguht everything was going to be normal but didn't. BSOD kept appearing

I then reinstalled windows just to see it wasn't a problem of drivers ro SW in general because the BSOD was still making mi live impossible

I continued to investigate on forums and I concluded it was the memory. Many posts with the same problems ended on that.
So I bought another 1GB RAM module that I received yesterday.

At first it seemed it was fixed, finally could work on windows for some time. BUT, then something strange happens, my screen is crazy, it was freezed with many colors like watching a bad or broken TV.
I restarted and got one BSOD. Changed the memory module to the other slot but remembered then it was not working a year ago, and of course got more of those screen freezes with crazy display everytime.
So I changed back the module to the working slot and after some other hangs and freezes, I reinstalled chipset drivers and it seems to be "working", because I haven't had any freezes or BSOD until now.

BUT, my computer is running very very SLOW
It's like having only 256MB of RAM or worst!

I read on this forum it may be a problem with IRQ's and I noticed I have multiple shared IRQ's, like IRQ06 for lan, video, usb.
Must say that my BIOS is too basic and it doesn't allow any voltage, tem or IRQ configuration. I've searched an update, but the one offerend on the manufacturer's site, even it's newer on date, it's exactlly the same as my flash bios programm says.

Well, I hope all this story can help so anybody will know how to help me fixing this issue.

Thanks in advance
