I was attempting to wipe my operating system clean and start new, have had a lot of issues lately. MY bf reinstalled win xp, thinking it would override old system... he installed his pc edition, accidentally. apparently, my vaio did not come with any recovery discs as there is supposed to be a vaio recovery option in the program menu - NOT anymore... he wiped everything clean, my vaio no longer has any utilities, no wireless utilities, nothing. it doesnt even recognize that it is a sony vaio.

how do i get my hands on the operating system for my laptop so i can reinstall all of my vaio functions and xp to fix this problem?

please help... am desperate.
