Think about what may be in the way of your signal when moving rooms or whatever....
fridge, microwave, fluourescent tubing, signal senders (for TV satellite boxes), remote controls, metal in walls, thick brick walls and more...
These can all have a say in your signal strength.
The Belkin routers while good are not the best and are prone to dropouts (personal exp.). I don't really want to give recommendations either as everyone will have a debate on all that instead of solving your issue which is important.
Failing to solve it because of one or more of the above getting in your way may need you to buy a further piece of equipment. The more antennae your router has the better the signal. Draytek offer some of best routers around. There... I've made a recommendation!!
