Maybe one of the solenoids in the transmission is going?

The trans in my Jeep has 3 solenoids. One for fist and second gear, one for third and fourth gear, and then the third solenoid for the torque converter.

I suppose it is possible that the torque converter solenoid in your trans could be getting stuck engaged.
