Recovering from major crash, just one driver short

Hello,
So here is the deal, I have a computer at work that runs Windows 2000 pro and it crashed on me. I did a clean reinstall of windows and all is running properly. I didnt have any of the drivers so I spent the better part of yesterday finding all the drivers I need. After hours of scouring the only thing that wasnt working was the Ethernet Controller and a PCI serial port. I finally got the Ethernet Controller to work after doing some tweaking in the services.msc menu and starting windows management instrumentation and installing a drive I found. Now the only thing that doesnt work is the PCI serial port. I need this to work as attached to this port is a necessary device for our office computer. My question is, how in the hell do I get this to work. The computer is is a COMPAQ EVO D510 small form desktop pc. I have tried many of the drivers on their site for this system, what type of drivers shoud I be looking for, what is a PCI Serial port? Thanks in advance
