Internet connections are still flakey.
What I have noticed is that the computer tries to log into an incorrect IP address (sorry- didn't write it down...). Repair the connection a few times and successful IP address 10.0.0.6 appears.
Please explain this in more detail. Example...do you mean, the computer tries on it's own to open an internet connection or when you open Internet explorer, it tries to open a connection using the incorrect IP?
I notice yahoo toolbar is still there;
http://us.rd.yahoo.com/customize/yco.../www.yahoo.com
Can I run HJT and remove this safely? Beyond that all appears well- only time will tell.
If Yahoo Toolbar is something you don't use, please uninstall it via add/remove programs.

You can run HijackThis again and check/fix this entry:
O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.asus.com

Don't forget to close all windows before clicking Fix Checked then reboot to properly record the changes to the hard disk.

Post back a fresh HijackThis log. Thanks!
