Bose USB Companion 5 and XBOX 360 Wired Controller - Static problem

Hi. I recently started using my xbox controller with my PC by just plugging in a wired controller. Every time I plug it in, the speakers go crazy and start having lots of static when a sound is played. When nothing is going on and the speakers are on, it's quite, but if I was to play music or click, the sound would come, but with a lot of static. I have to unplug the controller and RESTART my computer until the static is gone... but if I plug in an audio cable into the speakers control panel thing and hook it up to my iPod and start playing music, while it's connected to the computer and staticy, the music is not static at all. I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this at all. If any one has any clues, that'd be great, thanks a lot!
