Hi OmarA,

I would definitely test the CD/DVD drive on another similar laptop or use an adapter to test it on another PC. That is the only way you will know if it is your laptop or if it is the optical drive.

Try cleaning the lens first. Also try remove/uninstall in Device Manager and let Windows pick it up again during boot up.
