Mistake RAID Setup

Ok, Im a newb,
Bought a new computer, that wasn't set up for RAID as requested, followed the helpline advice, and now have an expensive door wedge.

System is
Intel P4 3.6mhz
Asus P5AD2 Deluxe
1024 Mb Ram
2 SATA 400GB h/d with 8 mb cache
Geforce 6800 GT PCI express,
lots of other bits n bobs.

Anyway set it all up as RAID 0, and formatted prior to windows, when windows first installs it says "now re-starting windows", it all re-boots and i get a read e ror message, complete with missing 'r', obviously i and the support desk are doing something wrong, but what.

Can any of you bright people out there give me a suggestion, or do i keep it as an expensive door wedge?

cheers,
