NF7-S thermal diode problem

Hi, this is my first post. I have a bit of a problem with my motherboard, as stated its an ABIT NF7-S. I recently took my CPU out to clean some thermal paste off it, when i reintalled it the thermal diode behind the CPU snapped off.

Now i've had trouble with this flimsy little thing before as it didnt quite touch the back of the CPU and it was turning my PC off randomly, I had to bend it so it made the proper connection. This obviously weakened it and now its comletely broke.

My PC seems to be running fine without it (fingers crossed), the only problem is i now have no way of telling the temperature of my CPU and it is scarily reading as 219 degrees (i know this is not the true temp but its still horrible to see). So is there anyway i can reattach the diode, maybe with soldering or is it just a case of leaving it and getting a new motherboard (which i cannot afford)

Anyway any input and help with this will be greatly appreciated.
