I am helping the widow down the street, we bought her a new computer that came loaded with Vista home. Finally got her off Windows 98. She has always used NetZero and does not want to change. We are rural so don't have many choices anyway. i downloaded latest version of netzero and can log on from a fresh boot but netzero soon goes off link and clears the line. the phone line becomes availalbe for phone calls etc but the modem is still "in Use" It is driving me nuts.

We can log in with a laptop using XP no problem. Netzero also makes new connections with a false 2222 number and I can't get it to stop doing that. To clear the modem we have to do a restart.

Any suggestions would be apprecaited.
